Large & Small, Far and Near (2000s)

画面のなかに大きく描かれた子どもは、近くで見ているから大きく見えるのか、それとも実際に大きな子どもなのか。このシリーズでは、大小と遠近の関係をドローイングで探っている。正方形の7~8枚の紙の上に大小の同じ対象物が描かれ、最下位の画面には使用したオイルパステルの点がランダムに置かれる。

Do children drawn large in the picture plane appear large because they are seen up close, or are they actually large children? In this series of drawings, the artist explores the relationship between size and perspective. The same objects, from large to small, are drawn on 7~8 square sheets of paper, and dots of the oil pastels used are randomly placed on the lowest screen.
